RE/MAX Gold is pleased to congratulate Alex Amaro on his recent election as President of the East Sacramento Chamber of Commerce.
Alex, a Broker Associate in the Midtown office, has called Sacramento home ever since moving here for school and has been with RE/MAX Gold for over 4 years. Whether advising clients on buying or selling real estate or advising fellow agents new to the business, Alex truly loves being a real estate broker and is passionate about being a mentor to others. “Although there is this misnomer of ‘Salesman’ assigned to Realtors®, I approach my profession as an adviser. I give my clients solid advice so they can make educated decisions about their future,” says Alex.
In 2016, Alex joined the East Sacramento Chamber of Commerce to contribute to the East Sac community and the businesses that help it thrive. Alex says he applied for the position of President “in the spirit of service to give back to the community.” In his letter of intent, Alex expressed his gratitude for the chamber and how it has allowed him the chance to serve, which he says has been “extremely rewarding”. With this attitude of humility and servant leadership, it is no wonder Alex was elected President of the Chamber.
While this is a great achievement, Alex stressed that his team and those who support him deserve just as much recognition, saying “I cannot express my gratitude enough for the long hours and work my team does … I have the most incredible Board of Directors and Executive Director. I sincerely would not have applied if I felt I had to do it without them.”
When asked about his goals for the Chamber of Commerce, Alex had this to say:
“My goal is that each member can have at least one take away from our East Sac Chamber events. That ‘take away’ can be a personal connection, a volunteer opportunity, a referral or something they learned that can immediately benefit their business.” —Alex Amaro
He is also very active in his community; whether that means showing homes, attending events or going for a run in McKinley Park. When not working, Alex loves to travel the world and dabble in photography. Looking forward into 2018, Alex says, “I am excited to connect with the people that make up our organization and to share with others why East Sacramento is such a great place to live, work and play.”
