RE/MAX Gold wishes to congratulate one of our own, Kiri Keefer, Manager of the Cameron Park, Placerville and Pollock Pines offices, on her new installment as President, El Dorado County Association of REALTORS.
“I have had the privilege of working with Kiri for most of the past 25 years, and you learn a lot about a person in 25 years. If you were to look up “Stellar Servant Leadership” in your dictionary you will find a picture of Kiri Keefer.” — James O’Bryon, RE/MAX Gold President
A California native, Kiri has lived in El Dorado County since 1989. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from UC Berkeley, which included an emphasis in real estate, urban planning and economic development with a minor in finance. Kiri has worked in real estate her entire professional career, and has really made a name for herself in El Dorado County. From commercial development and real estate syndication, to residential real estate sales and management—Kiri has done it all.
Kiri began her journey in EDCAR leadership when she was elected by her peers to be a Director; she led in this role from 2005 to 2009. In 2013, she was nominated as a candidate for Treasurer and was elected by the membership to take on this position. “When I was asked to step into the role as Treasurer a few years ago, I gratefully accepted with the chance to help our real estate community,” Kiri recalls. She faithfully served El Dorado County for many years and the association’s members recognized this to be true. It seems the natural progression for a leader like Kiri would be to become President of the association, which is just what she did.
As she moves into her new role, Kiri has a few goals for the association, as well as issues that are close to her heart. “The EDCAR mission statement reads, ‘We are to provide opportunities to expand professional growth through knowledge, leadership and commitment to excellence’. As we move forward into 2018, I’d like to focus on that by providing more educational opportunities. Realtor Safety is another area that I really care about. How many people have downloaded the Real Safe Agent App provided by Metrolist? Every Realtor needs to participate in order for us to take care of one another as a real estate community and this app is a great way to help protect one another,” she said.
Along with these causes, Kiri is ready to bring the community together by having a little fun. She plans to bring back the EDCAR picnic as a fundraiser for high school students to create need based scholarships.
“Additionally, I will continue to respond to our member’s needs and concerns. I will ensure that our association remains a strong leader in the industry. I encourage new ideas, embrace new technology, and ways of doing business.”—Kiri Keefer
Again, we would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Kiri Keefer in her new role as president of EDCAR. We are sure that under her great leadership, wisdom and guidance, EDCAR will strive to even greater heights and achievements. Once again we’d like to reiterate our sincere congratulations and wish Kiri the best during her new term in office.
