Robert Spano, of the RE/MAX Gold Elk Grove office, has another job outside of being a REALTOR. He serves as the Director, Joint Staff for the State Military Department at the California National Guard Joint Force Headquarters in Sacramento. Bob and his team recently assisted in bringing hope back to the Sonoma Developmental Center, which was affected by the recent wildfires.
The Sonoma Developmental Center serves people with developmental and intellectual disabilities. The Center’s 240 residents were evacuated in early October as the Center was threatened by the flames.
On October 26th, Col. Robert Spano joined members of the 49th Military Police Brigade’s Task Force 49 at the Sonoma Developmental Center as Cal Guardsmen complete their final effort to assist the facility’s recovery from the Northern California wildfires. Soldiers moved tons of furniture, beds, computer equipment and other necessities – along with cleaning the facility – as residents were cleared to return to the SDC that was nearly destroyed by the fire.
Robert not only serves his community with his military service, but also by working with local buyers and sellers in the Elk Grove area. John Shook, manager of the Elk Grove office where Robert is based out of, says of Robert:
“Robert (Bob) is an individual who goes above and beyond in whatever he is doing. He makes sure that his clients get the highest level of professionalism and support that they deserve.”
We are proud to have Robert as a part of the RE/MAX Gold family and thankful for his service!
